Irmgard long has been focused squarely on helping U.S. technology companies get the most out of their international PR budgets. Irmgard arrived in the U.S. in 1984 from her native Germany, where she worked in Munich as a marketing communications manager for twelve years. She quickly recognized a need among Silicon Valley high-tech firms for cost-effective PR services and hence founded Globalpress Connection.

Her revolutionary business model has helped hundreds of companies gain recognition and market share overseas. In the years since launching the firm, she has received premier recognition for connecting high-tech companies with targeted media and analysts worldwide.

Irmgard sees herself as the "strategic and executive mind" of the agency. Her management style focuses on providing effective client service by empowering her staff of multilingual professionals, whom she describes as "the backbone" of the business.

With a client-service philosophy that emphasizes long-term commitment to establishing worldwide market presence, Irmgard relishes working with clients whose international PR coordinator responds quickly to requests for information.

Patricia Ritchie is the new Events Manager at Globalpress Connection.  She is originally from Brazil where she obtained an Executive MBA in  Sao Paulo. Before moving to the United States Patricia was Events Director at Messe Frankfurt where she managed COMDEX Brazil and  Events Director at Advanstar as manager of TELEXPO.

Patricia is tri-lingual: English, Portuguese and Spanish and her international experience and exposure is a huge asset to her role at Globalpress Connection.  At the agency she is responsible for planning, booking and managing all event logistics and will take on a larger role in the marketing and PR for the agency.  Her previous supervisors point out her  hard working professional style and very friendly personality. She has continuously delivered well organized successful events as well as established and maintained long term professional relationships around the world.

Abbie is the new Junior PR Associate at Globalpress Connection.  She joined the Globalpress team as an intern during her senior year at Santa Clara University.  After graduating with her B.A. in Communication and a minor in English, she became an official Globalpress ‘PR Chick’.  Prior to working at Globalpress, she completed internships with Junior Achievement and DCP Midstream.

Abbie brings to Globalpress her skills not only in Public Relations and Integrated Marketing & Communications, but also in writing and editing.  Abbie will be in charge of all social media and media monitoring.  She will also assist Patricia with event logistics.  She fits right in with the Globalpress team due to her strong work ethic and gregarious personality.  Outside of work, Abbie is an avid reader, writer, and record aficionado.
